How to stake Sushiswap (SUSHI)

Desktop Version:

1. Go to https://celsius.network/ and create a new account. Earn up to a $50 sign up bonus when you use referral code 109902077a at sign up.

• You must transfer the required amount to earn the Celsius sign up bonus.

2. Once your account is set up, you will see your dashboard.

3. Click on the “Receive” tab and then click “Add New Coins”. Add Sushiswap (SUSHI) and it will then show up on your list of coins. Click “View and Copy Address”.

4. Send your SUSHI to the provided address.

5. After receiving your SUSHI, you’re all done! You will start accruing interest immediately and rewards are distributed weekly.

Mobile Version:

1. Go onto your mobile device’s app store and download the Celsius app (Android and iOS supported).

2. Open the app and click Join Celsius and complete the process of creating a new account.

3. Once your account is finished setting up, press the “Transfer” tab to bring up options.

4. Press “Receive”.

5. Select Sushiswap (SUSHI) from the drop-down menu to get your SUSHI address.

6. After receiving your SUSHI, you’re all done! You will start accruing interest immediately and rewards are distributed weekly.

• Note: As of April 15, 2022, New US customers for Celsius will not have access to any interest earning opportunities at all until their Earn Interest Product 2.0 comes out. Non-US customers and prospective customers are not affected by this.

2. SUSHISwap – SUSHI Bar (Safest)

Prerequisites:

1. Have about $50-100 worth of ETH available to send to pay for future fees. You shouldn’t need all of this amount but it’s just to be safe.
2. Get the MetaMask app for your computer or mobile device.
   

How to install MetaMask

Desktop Version:

1. Go to https://metamask.io/download.html and download the extension for your chosen browser.
   

2. After installing the MetaMask, start it up if it didn’t do so automatically and click “Get Started”.

3. Click “Create a Wallet” and follow the prompt to create your wallet.

4. After creating your account, you will see an entry for ETH already on your account. To send the $50-100 ETH to your MetaMask wallet, hover over your account name so that it says “Copy to clipboard” and click so that it copies your wallet address. Use this somewhere else to see your full address if you need to type it in manually or paste it directly onto the website/app you are sending ETH from.

5. Now that you have some ETH on your account, click “Import tokens” at the bottom of the page.

6. Go to the “Custom Token” tab and input “0x6B3595068778DD592e39A122f4f5a5cF09C90fE2” as the Token Contract Address. If done correctly, the Token Symbol should automatically update to say “SUSHI”. Click “Add Custom Token” when finished.

• If you do not trust that this token address is correct, you can go to https://etherscan.io/token/0x6b3595068778dd592e39a122f4f5a5cf09c90fe2 and see that the information listed on the page is consistent with official SushiSwap data.

7. Click “Import Tokens”. SushiSwap will now appear in your Assets list.

8. Since SUSHI is an Ethereum token, send your SUSHI to the same address you originally sent your ETH to add your SUSHI to MetaMask.

Mobile Version:

1. Download MetaMask on your mobile device’s app store (Android and iOS supported).
   

2. Press “Get Started” and then “Create a new wallet” if you’re creating a wallet for the first time. If you’ve already made a MetaMask account on desktop, you can just select “Sync with MetaMask extension” and ignore the rest of the following steps.

3. After creating your wallet, either press the shortened address under your account name or press the “Receive” button to get your wallet address.

4. Send $50-100 ETH to the provided address.

5. Back in the main screen, press “Import Tokens”.

6. Go to the “Custom Token” tab and add “0x6B3595068778DD592e39A122f4f5a5cF09C90fE2” as the Token Address. If done correctly, the Token Symbol should automatically update to say “SUSHI”. Press “Import” when finished and SUSHI will now appear in your Assets list.

• If you do not trust that this token address is correct, you can go to https://etherscan.io/token/0x6b3595068778dd592e39a122f4f5a5cf09c90fe2 and see that the information listed on the page is consistent with official SushiSwap data.7. Since SUSHI is an Ethereum token, send your SUSHI to the same address you originally sent your ETH to add your SUSHI to MetaMask.

Staking on SushiSwap (SUSHI Bar)

Now that you have your SushiSwap in your MetaMask account, you’re now ready to start staking it and earning interest.

1. Go to https://app.sushi.com/stake and click “Connect to a wallet”.
   

• Mobile users MUST use the built-in browser in MetaMask.
  

2. Select “MetaMask” as your wallet.

3. MetaMask will ask for permission to connect. Follow the on-screen prompts until your MetaMask wallet is connected to the website.

4. Confirm that your wallet has connected by seeing if your SUSHI balance has updated on the website. Enter in the amount of SUSHI you wish to stake. If you’re not planning on trading your SUSHI for a long time, we recommend staking your entire balance. Click “Approve” and go through the on-screen prompts, confirming the transaction on MetaMask when it pops up.

5. You’re all done! Your SUSHI will be converted to xSUSHI and begin earning interest that compounds automatically. If you wish to unstake so that you can trade your SUSHI, just go to the “Unstake” tab and choose the amount of xSUSHI you wish to unstake.

 Final Thoughts

Staking SushiSwap is relatively simple. MetaMask is a great app to have if you own a lot of Ethereum tokens such as SUSHI. Many of these Ethereum tokens can be staked while using MetaMask. We recommend doing everything on desktop if possible because it is easier performing all the tasks required as well as the ability to sync with a hardware wallet.

Celsius is also a great method of earning interest on a variety of cryptocurrencies, such as SUSHI, because it’s as simple as sending crypto to your Celsius wallet and holding. If you are planning on holding long-term, we recommend activating HODL mode on Celsius. This mode disables features such as sending cryptocurrencies out of your wallet and much more until you disable HODL mode. This is also a tool that can prevent you from losing your funds if your account gets hacked.
